(see programme below)

The annual Greyton Winter Festival takes place from 13 to 16 June 2008.  Winter Warmth will be the theme of this year’s festival.

The pavements will be dotted with fire konkas where the odd boerie or veg burger will be grilled or children can roast the marshmallows that will be on sale. Horse carts from the area will take you on a scenic drive around the historic village. Tour the galleries on foot and enjoy a glass of warming gluhwein.

Visit the famous Greyton Morning market at 10:00 on Saturday, and listen to the Genadendal Brass Band Ensemble blowing their hearts out.  The weekend will be filled with music, music, music… dance to a Reggae Band, listen to the Eccentric Sound Production Jazz band with a glass of wine in hand, opera in the famous old Moravian Church in Greyton, and much more...

Visit any one of Greyton’s 12 excellent restaurants and you will find fireplaces in most of them and gas heaters on the beautiful terraces. http://www.greyton.net/restaurants.html
