Bowling Club
The bowling club is at The Country Village. Contacts are either Barry Cahill (028-254 9573) or Adrian Purslow (028-254 9382)
Tuesdays: Starts at 3 pm.
Fridays: Starts at 4 pm. Play is followed by a bring and braai at the club. A great time to meet new friends, enjoy a lot of laughs and a few drinks.
Saturdays: 2 pm.
There are a considerable number of experienced bowlers able to offer bowling advice and we have quite a lot of spare bowls so that beginners can try the game without hurting their pockets.
Bridge Club
There are many enthusiastic bridge players in Greyton. People get together in one another’s houses regularly for a friendly rubber and to catch up on the latest news. So popular is bridge that over the years a Greyton convention developed!
The Greyton Duplicate Pairs Bridge Club was started a little over 2 years ago for those who enjoy the competitive game. Once a fortnight at the Moravian Hall, 8 to 12 pairs meet to play some 24 hands. Although play is serious and all players try to improve, the idea is to have fun. The scores are posted on the front door of the Oak and Vigne the very next day. Everyone’s average is updated after each meeting and at the end of the year - after some 25 competitions - the club champions are announced.
The Club always welcomes new players, whether they are residents or visitors to Greyton, whether they are available often or only once.
